Who We Are
John is the creator and developer of The Living Body Series®. He has been a Certified Rolfer since 1987 and did his Advanced Rolfing Training in 1991. He began teaching anatomy and physiology for the Blue Cliff School of Massage in New Orleans, La. in 1990 and helped develop their A&P course curriculum that is still in use today.
In 1996 John began teaching A&P for the Rolf Institute® of Structural Integration in Boulder, Co. He is currently the Chair of the Life Sciences Group at The Rolf Institute and is active in curriculum development and improvement. John’s goal is to make the study of anatomy and physiology both interesting and enjoyable. He feels that this material is extremely important to the practicing bodywork professional and that the study of A&P should not be a daunting task.
Laura is the editor of The Living Body Series® . A nationally certified massage therapist, she attended Blue Cliff School of Massage in New Orleans and maintains a private practice specializing in light touch modalities.
Laura earned her master’s degree in English from the University of Georgia. Prior to becoming a bodyworker, she taught college-level English for eight years and continues to work as a freelance editor. As editor of The Living Body Series® , Laura draws upon both her teaching and bodywork experience to bring a clarity to this often difficult to understand material. Her goal is to make the information presented in The Living Body Series® easy to read and absorb.
